1. The Foundry
1. You wouldn’t expect a culinary staple like The Foundry to also offer a three-hour happy hour in the heart of Pompano Beach’s bustling Atlantic Boulevard business district. The Foundry’s happy hour runs from 4–7 p.m. Monday through Friday. Select margaritas, mojitos, wine pours, and cocktails only cost an Abe Lincoln. $8 shareables range from crispy calamari to short rib flatbread and fire-roasted wings (choose the orange chipotle).
2. Galuppi’s
Galuppi’s flanks the Pompano Municipal Golf facility with a large sports bar that also spills outdoors to offer beautiful golf vistas and a large, covered live music venue for outdoor restaurant and bar patrons. Happy Hour includes free entertainment most afternoons and evenings and tribute bands on weekends. Patrons enjoy a classic buy one, get one free special that includes draft beer, house wine, and premium liquor. We highly recommend reserving a table at Galuppi’s between 4–7 p.m. on Thursday for the “Bottomless Tacos.” Tuesday’s $15.99 New York strip steak is also a head-turning bargain.
3. Flanigan’s
Flanigan’s is a beloved South Florida restaurant/sports bar chain that launched in 1959. Known for seafood, ribs, and burgers, its original (and best) location is right here in Pompano Beach! Flanigan’s self-proclaimed “best in town” happy hour includes deep discounts on ALL beer, wine, and spirits. Fun themed nights, such as “Wing It Wednesday” and “Mexican Monday,” feature free food with pitchers of beer, spiked tea, or soda.
4. Sunset Catch
Sunset Catch is the only restaurant on this list to not feature discounted food during happy hour (5–6:30 p.m.), but it’s exceedingly difficult to find $5 mojitos and great water views in one place. Greet the sunset across the Intracoastal Waterway with a “Spicy Mango Mojito” and a plate of mouthwatering steamed lobster, flash-fried yellowtail snapper, or pan-seared sea bass at this local seafood staple.
5. Aruba Beach Cafe
This fun, Caribbean-style beachfront eatery is two miles south of Pompano in the town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea where Commercial Boulevard ends at the ocean. Upon arrival, nab a seat at the bar to enjoy half-priced drinks (ranging from house margaritas to Bloody Marys and domestic beer) and some of the tastiest (and cheapest) seafood in town. Small plates start at $3.99, including the Friday pig roast, Blue Point oysters, Jamaican jerk chicken wings, tuna sashimi, and so much more!
