Beach House Pompano
Beach House Pompano is the first new restaurant built on Pompano’s oceanfront in 20 years after a hurricane sadly destroyed the previous structure. Built right on the sand, Beach House has stellar rooftop views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and Pompano’s fishing pier. This stunning, two-story, Old Florida-style building has rustic chic décor with dining and bars both upstairs and down.
Couples can find private sofas with unobstructed views of the ocean, and small groups can gather and relax in airy circles of plush chairs and cocktail tables along the upper deck. Beach House opened in March to rave reviews for its diverse menu and delicious mojitos. Reservations are highly recommended because the place fills extremely fast due to popularity. Some of the most popular menu items are the sushi, burgers, fish, and salads, but we highly recommend the Punalu’u Beach fish tacos, bacon-wrapped scallops, and cedar plank salmon.
The Rusty Hook Tavern
It’s hard to narrow the best restaurants in Pompano Beach down to only four selections, but The Rusty Hook Tavern is a no-brainer. Don’t be fooled by the “tavern” tag in the name, because The Rusty Hook serves some of the best seafood, steak, and pasta in an upscale but relaxed dining setting. If you’re stopping by The Rusty Hook for happy hour specials and Intracoastal Waterway views, then you can slip outside to their Sands Harbor marina patio. Each dish is beautifully plated and undeniably delectable. We recommend the grilled wahoo, yellowtail snapper, and 10-ounce flat iron steak. The Rusty Hook is only a seven-minute walk from our charming, award-winning Cottages by the Ocean.
Sunset Catch
Less than 500 feet from The Rusty Hook Tavern rests yet another one of the best restaurants in Pompano Beach: Sunset Catch. This aptly-named waterfront restaurant has ultra-chic Italian nautical design with interiors of whites and cobalt blue accents. It features Northern Italian seafood with fresh vegetables, fresh local fish, sushi, and ultra-fine wines. The restaurant faces the westerly Intracoastal Waterway, so you can “catch the sunset” in the evening and watch the extravagant yachts cruise past. Their prices are quite reasonable for a fine restaurant where the wine list includes $325 bottles of Californian wine.
Sunset Catch has sensational live music 2-3 nights a week; check their up-to-date entertainment schedule here. Couples can enjoy plates of Atlantic Ocean fish a variety of ways. You can’t go wrong with the lobster ravioli, pan-seared Chilean sea bass, or the fried, flour-dusted snapper. The Foundry
There are so many things to like about The Foundry, which lies across the street from our Yacht & Beach Club Condo. The interior decor at The Foundry is noteworthy because some of Pompano Beach’s best artists painted murals on the lengthy walls. You’ll also quickly notice the tall, exposed ceilings, vintage lights, and casual outdoor seating. The Foundry offers a diverse menu that includes fresh-caught fish, steak, burgers, wood-fired pizza, pasta, a bountiful raw bar, and much more! There’s something for everyone at The Foundry.
