Pompano Beach Cultural Center

Pompano Beach Cultural Center features a full slate of theater, music, dance, art exhibits, and events. This state-of-the-art facility is located adjacent to City Hall and directly across the street from Pompano’s Old Town historic district, with something for everyone to enjoy seven days a week. 

Bailey Contemporary Arts Center

Located in the historic Old Town district of Pompano Beach, the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center (BaCA) is a stunning arts venue that always has something to check out. The venue was converted from an historic hotel, but now hosts art gallery exhibits, which are free to the public, working lofts for budding artists, and numerous public classes, workshops and events each month. 

Ali Cultural Arts Center

Built to celebrate the history and culture of the African American community of Pompano Beach, the Ali Cultural Arts Center is a venue small in size but big in beauty. Dance, music, and spoken word are typically the art styles of focus, and guests can take in intimate performances from prominent local and national artists.

Pompano Beach Amphitheater

Affectionately known as The Amp, Pompano Beach Amphitheater is a 3,000-seat amphitheater that hosts a full slate of top-name concerts and music festivals. The Amp has been recently updated with a state-of-the-art sound system and a roof over the outdoor seating to shield performers and patrons from the rain while keeping an open feeling. Catching a show at this award-winning amphitheater is a real treat. 

More Music, Art, and Dance Events in Pompano Beach

While the Pompano Beach Cultural Center, BaCA, Ali Cultural Arts Center, and The Amp are all great places to experience cultural arts, there’s more to explore. Pompano Beach hosts a wide range of events, many of which are free to attend. Music Under the Stars is a free concert series held on the second Friday of every month at the beach on the Great Lawn. You can also catch the live band at the free “Pompano Untapped” festival on the first Friday of each month in the Old Town historic district. The Parks and Recreation Department also hosts a series of free, family-friendly movie nights at Pompano Beach Community Park. 

For live music, many of the city’s restaurants feature local bands. When in doubt, head to Lucky Fish on the beach, which has live music on weekdays from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. And catch the amazing tribute bands every weekend at Galuppi’s restaurant, sports bar, and outdoor concert venue on Pompano’s 36-hole public golf course. You’ll also find live music there each afternoon for happy hour.

Try waltz, fox trot, cha-cha, swing, hustle, and all of the Latin dances at Goldcoast Ballroom, one of the top three ballrooms in the U.S. It has many daytime and evening dances of all styles throughout the week, just a 15-minute drive from Beach Vacation Rentals top-rated lodgings. A smaller venue with dancing and group lessons on weekends is Star Ballroom, just a two-minute drive away.
