Special Events – Winter 2023

December 7 (Thurday) 6:30 p.m. – Yuletide on Atlantic Holiday Parade 

Come enjoy a parade filled with marching bands, floats, live entertainment, kids’ activities, and Santa Claus. The parade runs from Riverside Dr, heading west on Atlantic Blvd.

December 8 (Friday) – Tree Lighting and Music Under the Stars

Experience the lighting of the Holiday Tree as you listen to classic holiday tunes on the Main Beach Great Lawn at this family-friendly event. 

December 15 (Friday) 6:30 p.m. – Pompano’s 61st Annual Holiday Boat Parade 

Watch as over 50 boats, decked out with colorful lights and holiday decorations, line the Intracoastal Waterway from Pompano Beach North to Deerfield Beach during the Annual Holiday Boat Parade. This year’s theme is “A Salute to our First Responders.”

Jan 18-20 – Pompano Beach Jazz Fest 

Enjoy the soothing sounds of jazz from local jazz legends to Grammy Grammy®-winning musicians like Branford Marsalis at Pompano Beach Jazz Fest. The lineup also features Valerie Tyson, Ms. Lisa Fischer & Grand Baton, David Sanchez, and Najee. General admission is free, but registration is required.

Jan 20-21 – 34th Annual Nautical Flea Market

Come hunt for nautical treasures at the Annual Nautical Flea Market in Pompano Beach Community Park. With over 200 vendors selling boating equipment, fishing and scuba gear, nautical antiques and artwork, beach attire, jewelry, and more, there’s something for everyone. There is also live music, lunch, and beverages. Admission is $5, but kids ten and under are free. Call 954-946-6419 for more information.

Every 3rd Wednesday, 8 p.m.-10 p.m. – Lyrics Lab 

Enjoy a night of poems, verses, songs, lyrics, jokes, stories, and beats at the Ali Cultural Arts Center.  Tickets are $10, but performers get in for free, so consider getting on stage. 

Every 1st Thursday, 6 p.m. – Thursday Night Vibes Dance

Put on your dancing shoes and dance the night away to the sounds of Motown, Disco, Oldies Rock, 50’s-70’s at the Herb Skolnick Community Center. Entry is $5 per person.

Every 2nd Thursday 7 p.m.-8:30 p.m. – A Taste of Jazz 

Pair music with wine tasting at the Bailey Contemporary Arts Center for A Taste of Jazz. You’ll enjoy musical performances from the musicians of the Golf Coast Jazz Society Band while tasting delicious wines. Tickets start at $5.

Every 2nd Thursday, 7 p.m. – Living Room Concert Series 

Inspired by NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts, this program is a series of performances by local musicians and vocalists of all genres at the Blanche Ely House Museum. Tickets are $10.

Every 4th Thursday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. – Community Game Night

Make new friends and enjoy a night of games at E. Pat Larkins Center.

Every 1st Friday 6 p.m. – 10 p.m. Old Town Untapped

One of Pompano Beach’s most popular events, Old Town Untapped is a free street fair and arts festival with food trucks, music, local artists, vendors, and more. Visit Old Town Pompano, 1st Ave & 1st Street at the corner of Dixie & Atlantic Blvd to participate.

Every 2nd Friday, 7 p.m.-9 p.m. – Music Under the Stars

Enjoy a free concert at the Great Lawn. This event features performances from musicians of all genres. You can check the upcoming performers at the Music Under the Stars website.

Every 4th Friday January-May 6 p.m.-10 p.m. – Food Truck Frenzy

Sample dishes from food trucks, enjoy backyard games and enjoy music from a DJ at the Sample-McDougald House.

Every 2nd and 4th Saturday December-April 9 a.m.-1 p.m. – Green Market  

Shop for fresh fruits and vegetables, juices, baked goods, seafood, and other food items, as well as orchids, plants, health-related products and services, hand-made crafts, culinary products, and more at the Pompano Beach Cultural Center. The Green Market also hosts a yoga session. 

Monthly on Saturdays or Sundays 9 a.m.-3 p.m. – Historic Hillsboro Lighthouse Tour
