Taking place on November 11 for Veterans Day at the beach near the Fisher Family Pier, the drone show lights up the sky with an amazing display. This is the city’s second annual drone show. This year, it’s back and better than ever. The event will be expanded to include an early and a late show. Pompano Fall Fest
Returning for the third consecutive year, Pompano Fall Fest is a celebration of the diversity of culture through music. On November 25, head to Pompano Beach Community Park for a fall festival with a stacked lineup of musical performers. Jagged Edge, Kelly Price, Juvenile, J.T. Money, and Kut Klose will grace the stage, performing a wide range of hits from their varied musical careers.
In addition to the music, the festival also hosts a food, vintage, and merchandise market with offerings from local vendors. A cigar lounge and outdoor bars complete the setting for this popular festival. Pompano Fall Fest draws a crowd of Pompano Beach locals and visitors alike in this musical extravaganza. Music Under the Stars is a concert series highlighting talented artists every second Friday of the month. This concert is free to attend; bring your lawn chairs or a blanket to the Great Lawn and enjoy rocking performances.
Soulful Sundays occur every second Sunday, 6-9 p.m. at the Historic Ali Cultural Center. Tickets $10 online only. This lively event combines the rich history and culture of the African-American community with soulful musical performances.
A Taste of Jazz offers entertainment and wine tasting every second Thursday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Bailey Contemporary Arts. Tickets are available for $20 online. Sit back and enjoy as the Gold Coast Jazz Quartet explores the origins of the music of jazz and its musical evolution.
Lyrics Lab is every third Wednesday of the month at Ali Cultural Arts Center. This open-mic night offers you a chance to perform your poems, verses, songs, lyrics, jokes, and beats. If you don’t want to participate, simply relax with a cocktail and enjoy the performances. Tickets are $10 online or free if you sign up early and bring your own work to share.
Pompano Beach Amphitheater (the AMP) hosts the live and local concert series. Upcoming concerts include: Brett Young on September 23, YES: Classic Tales of YES on October 8, Beach Boys on October 21m and Buddy Guy on October 22.
