The Main Event: Fresh-Caught Seafood
The Pompano Beach Seafood Festival was once known as the area’s “biggest beach party.” Now in its 35th year, this festival has grown to be one of the largest of its kind in Florida, so to accommodate its growth, it will move off the beach this year into much larger space at nearby Pompano Beach Community Park & Amphitheater. The Pompano Beach Amphitheater is a welcomed addition (as is the extra acreage). You’ll discover an entire row of food stands in the “food court” on the west end of the festival. Here’s a small sample of what to expect this year: oyster shooters, shucked oysters, stone crab claws, seafood rice, conch salad, coconut shrimp skewers, jambalaya, Cajun crawfish, crab cakes, and so much more!
Live Music
The live music at this year’s festival promises to offer the best lineup and venue ever. The Pompano Beach Amphitheater will allow guests to take a seat and enjoy their juicy seafood while listening to rousing live performances. Headliners this year include The Guess Who, Foghat, Inner Circle, and Zach Deputy. More artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
