(10/1/16) More than half of American workers left vacation days unused in 2015 according to a study conducted by Project Time Off, an organization started by the U.S. Travel Association. Not taking a vacation could be adding to your stress—and hurting your career. And if you don’t take the full amount of vacation you are entitled to, it may be like giving money back to your company.
“Americans work really hard, but we need vacations to give us a break, so we can work smarter,” says Katie Denis, senior director of Project Time Off. She said employees who come back from vacation are more productive and engaged and this has a positive impact on the bottom line.
