The 2014 IFBT-USA Beach Tennis World Cup will take place in beautiful city of Pompano Beach, FL on May 23-25, throughout Memorial Day Weekend, with the support of sponsors including Beach Vacation Rentals, Frank Congemi, Red Bull and Vita Coco.
Last year over 200 of the top beach tennis athletes from around the world gathered to compete for prize money and the title of being the best in this soon-to-be Olympic Sport.
The 6th Annual Beach Tennis World Cup has grown into one of the premier beach events in South Florida. The atmosphere is that of a beach festival with music, good energy, friendly spectators, and players competing in this fast-paced, dynamic sport, while representing their country.
Players from over 20 countries are expected to participate in the tournament. The event, which has traditionally taken place in Deerfield Beach, will be held for the first time in the welcoming community of Pompano Beach. There will be permanent beach tennis courts set up for the public to participate, with free demonstrations and clinics during the weeks leading up to the event.
It will be a great Memorial Weekend of beach tennis, music, food and fun. Everyone is welcome to watch or participate in the tournament. There are many different levels offered, from Beginner to the Professional category. Registration is open at MyBeachTennis.net.
