Beach Vacation Rentals in the News

(10/1/16) Our five authentic Florida properties have become popular with news media coming to cover news events in Pompano Beach like the recent sinking of Lady Luck in Shipwreck Park. News crews from ScubaNation TV, Thrilllist.com, Sport Diver Magazine, and more have all stayed with us in the past two months. A reporter from USA Today is booked for later this month. And among all the hubbub, a news crew from WZVN ABC 7 (right photo) came to do a story on weekend getaways around Florida for their half-hour show Out and About.  The story aired to all of its [...]

Have you taken a vacation lately?

(10/1/16) More than half of American workers left vacation days unused in 2015 according to a study conducted by Project Time Off, an organization started by the U.S. Travel Association.  Not taking a vacation could be adding to your stress—and hurting your career.  And if you don’t take the full amount of vacation you are entitled to, it may be like giving money back to your company. "Americans work really hard, but we need vacations to give us a break, so we can work smarter," says Katie Denis, senior director of Project Time Off. She said employees who come back [...]

What’s New in Pompano Beach

(10/1/16) What's new in Pompano Beach, Florida? Where shall we begin? Whatta garage! The city just opened its very first parking garage (photos above and right), and what a beauty right here at the beach!  This iconic building looks nothing like a parking garage, with it’s sailboat walls, beautiful undersea mural and evening colored light show.  It will house retail on the street level including our first Visitor Center, which is set to open this November. The garage will serve five new restaurants to locate at Pompano Fishing Village – a new “play area” to be built within walking distance [...]

Dog Park Expansion

(7/2/14) The expansion of the City’s Canine Corner Dog Park is underway! Canine Corner, the City's Dog Park, is adding a second large dog section. The new section will include decorative aluminum picket fencing, sidewalk, dog fountain and benches.  In addition, the main entry to the park will be modified to provide a safer entry/exit for dogs and the existing dog wash area will be modified to improve drainage.  This expansion improves the overall maintenance of the park by allowing one large dog section to remain open at all  times while the other can be closed to let the turf rest and recover.
